What´s in the box

• 2 Italian bread rolls (Schiacciata Romana), 100g each
• Approx. 16cm long, pre-sliced lengthwise
• Ideal for filling, dipping or toasting

Cooking instructions
  • Option 1 (recommended): Preheat oven to 230°C. When the oven is hot: reduce the temperature to 200 °C and bake the frozen rolls in the hot oven for 3-4 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
  • Option 2: Thaw the schiacciata at room temperature (1-2 hours) and serve.
  • Option 3: Fill the schiacciata with your favorite toppings (for example tomatoes, (plant-based) mozzarella and pesto) and bake for a couple of minutes in the contact grill or oven.

Founder´s take

We’d never ask you to pronounce it (“s c h i a c c i a t a”? Good luck!), but we do strongly recommend you taste it. These Italian rolls are a Solid Stash team favourite – and we don’t say that lightly.

Schiacciata Romana is a traditional Italian flatbread. Schiacciare means “to press with the fingers” – just how the dough is shaped. Romana refers to the way it’s baked: quickly, on stone, at high heat. A touch of extra virgin olive oil and sea salt finish it off.

Perfect for stuffing, dipping (into our Shakshuka or Spanish stew!), brunching, or toasting. However you enjoy them, these airy, golden beauties deliver every time.
