For Christmas 2022 we were very proud to present our brand-new collaboration with none other than Le Seitanist. Because when passionate artisanal creators make a love baby with their amazing products, that’s fireworks.

We’d been determined to use Le Seitanist’s beautiful products in our dishes for a while, and our Ovenhapjes and Festive Menu seemed like the perfect way to showcase Janko’s craftsmanship. At our special request, he created a to-die-for seitan boudin noir.

Our new boudin-ovenhapje combines three traditional flavours into a brand new vegan classic: boudin noir, gingerbread (peperkoek) and apple. Because sometimes, ya gotta keep it simple.

Instructions for preparation:

Heat directly in the oven while frozen. Not suitable for the microwave. | Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celcius. Place desired amount of ovenhapjes on (parchment-lined) oven rack & place in the centre of the hot oven.

Important: these bites just need to be warmed through (not cooked through), so be sure to remove them from the oven after 7 minutes! (Otherwise the gingerbread will become crispier/a little tougher than intended.)

Serve immediately. Enjoy!

How to store your Solid Stash:

Please make sure your Solid Stash goes straight into the freezer without delay after delivery/collection, and that it is stored at maximum -18° C at all times. Ensure it remains frozen and at a steady temperature during transport (which should be as short as possible), and utilise appropriate cooling kit for this. Once removed from the freezer eat within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Consume within 6 months after preparation date.

Always bake your ovenhapjes according to instructions before digging in, do not consume raw.

Ingredients: Le Seitanist boudin noir (40%: black beans, onion, oats, black pudding mix (pepper, cloves, allspice, cinnamon, bay leaf, marjoram, thyme), potato starch, cocoa, sugar, salt, sunflower oil, shoyu (soy, gluten), water , wheat gluten); apple (35%: apple, sugar, vegetable margarine (vegetable oils and fats (soy (53.5%); palm; linseed; in varying proportions); water; emulsifier (E472c; lecithins); salt (0.5%) ; dextrose; hulled soybeans (0.3%); preservative (E202); acidifier (citric acid); natural flavouring; vitamins (vitamin A; vitamin D2)); gingerbread (25%: glucose-fructose syrup, rye flour, raising agents (E500ii, E450i), flavours (milk, gingerbread), cinnamon).
