The secret to our perfect plant based mac-no-cheese? Our signature béchamel sauce forms the creamy base that pairs perfectly with De Cecco's top-quality penne pasta.
But unlike traditional mac and cheese, our version doesn't stop at 'just' pasta and sauce, no Sir. For a complete, comforting and most of all DELIGHTFUL meal, we've also added the following gold nuggets:
- Broccoli & cauliflower: veg included!
- Le Seitanist's artisanal smoked paprika seitan: for a hit of protein - and flavour, of course.
- A panko bread crumb topping: because what oven dish is complete without a crunchy topping, really?

Plan ahead: takes approx. 85-95 minutes to heat from frozen in the oven, so do something fun while your food is in the oven! (Aperitiiivo?)
Cooking instructions
Heat frozen dish directly in the oven. Not suitable for the microwave.
- Switch oven on. Remove lid. Place dish on a rack in the centre of the oven. Oven settings: 180°C, 80-95 min.
- Check if boiling hot throughout, and let it rest for 5 min before digging in. Enjoy!
Tip: put in the fridge 12 hours in advance to defrost & shorten the cooking time to just 35-45 minutes!
