Yes yes, it’s that time of year again, isn’t it? Mountains of roses and heaps of fluffy teddy bears and sugary sweet pink cards and and and… Hello Valentine’s!
At home, we honestly don’t really go for it. (Except for an awkward “Well, happy Valentine’s then, my Vaaalentijntje?” at the breakfast table, haha.)
But BRUNCH? Brunch, ladies and gentlemen. That’s something we know all about. Back when we lived in London for ten years – when animals could still talk – it was a favorite weekend activity to sleep in late and then sip hipster barista coffees and sample an entire menu deep into the afternoon at the coolest London spots. These days, as thirty-something young parents, our life mostly happens at home.
And sleeping in? HAHAHA.
We’ve totally mastered the art of making fantastic brunches a la maison by now. Well, instead of throwing a big housewarming party at our new place, we have to host thirty-seven small brunches en petit comité, right?
So we thought: HEY-HO, LET’S JUST SHARE OUR BRUNCH LOVE, AND LET’S DO SOMETHING ROMANTIC FOR VALENTINE’S. A suggestion for a romantic, Solid Stash-catered brunch feast for two.
In the spirit of:
Just once more, be thoughtful: delicious brunch in bed for your partner.
What a surprise, seriously: walk into the bedroom with brunch for your wife.
… or something like that.
So, without further ado: HERE IS EXACTLY HOW I WOULD SERVE A BRUNCH AT HOME WITH SOLID STASH DISHES (AND MAYBE A FEW EXTRAS). (Though I’d serve it at the table at home, not in bed, because: practical! and: kids! But you do you, hey <3)
