What´s in the box

Box contains one portion of frozen pilaf rice (about 420g), a side dish for two to three people. Serve with a main dish like our Indian Curry or Coconut Dhal (not included).

Cooking instructions

Preparation: heat in the microwave (not on the stovetop) and stir every 2-3 minutes until piping hot throughout.

Founder´s take

Our pilaf rice is the perfect sidekick to your favourite Indian-style dishes. Fluffy, buttery rice meets deeply caramelised onions, gently simmered in comforting vegetable stock with just a hint of cardamom, cinnamon, and bay leaf. The result is fragrant and flavourful, without overpowering your main.

This rice is designed to complement bold dishes like our Indian Curry or Coconut Dhal, yet it’s so tasty you might find yourself sneaking bites straight from the pan. It serves two to three people as a side, and adds that final, satisfying touch to your meal.

Quick to reheat, simple to serve, and delicious every time.

🌶️ Pimping tips

Go ahead and serve this glorious bowlful of pilaf rice on its own! But if you want to go the extra mile, you can of course always add the following garnishes:

  • Freshly chopped herbs, e.g. coriander, mint, parsley or basil
  • Finely chopped chilli pepper
  • Crunchy fried onions
  • For an interesting colour contrast, sprinkle with nigella seeds (black onion seeds), black sesame seeds, or even a few cumin seeds (don’t go overboard with the latter!)
  • Wedges of lime
  • Bright pink slices of pickled red onion are a wonderful pop of colour and flavour contrast
