What´s in the box

Box contains one frozen oven dish (about 1,100g), a complete and generous meal for two. No need to add sides — just heat and enjoy.

Cooking instructions

Oven cook from frozen. Not suitable for microwave.

  • Preheat oven. Remove lid. Place the dish (in its packaging) on a baking tray in the middle of the oven. 
  • Oven settings: 180°C (fan) for 70-100 mins. 
  • Every oven is different, so ensure the dish is piping hot throughout (or: return to the oven for an additional 10 mins), and allow to stand for 5 mins in the tray before serving.

Founder´s take

Honestly, is there anything more comforting than a bubbling oven-baked pie with golden crunch on top? When we set out to create our ultimate comfort dish, this was the vision: warming, hearty, and totally moreish. Enter: the Proper Pub Pie.

Built in layers like a good old hachis parmentier, our pie starts with a savoury base of lentils and vegetables — think black and green lentils simmered with onion, carrot, savoy cabbage and a subtle hint of mustard. We then top it with a creamy mash (made from white and sweet potatoes), add a sprinkle of golden gluten-free crumb, and bake until it's crisp and satisfying. This one’s a tribute to the cosy UK pub classic — made plant-based, gluten-free, and just really damn good.

It’s also worth noting: thanks to the lentils and all the fibre-rich veg, this dish is naturally high in plant protein and a great source of iron and B-vitamins. A proper, filling, feel-good meal for two.

🌶️ Pimping tips

This dish stands proudly on its own, but if you’d like to take it to the next level: serve with a simple green salad dressed with lemony olive oil and a bit of mustard. Fancy something warmer? Add a side of roasted Brussels sprouts or green beans for extra veg goodness.
