What´s in the box

Box contains one portion of frozen Vol-au-Vegan sauce (about 400g), a generous meal for one. Serve with fries, croquettes, mashed potatoes or bread (not included).

Cooking instructions

Simply take your packet of Solid Stash from the freezer, remove from packaging and place frozen into a casserole or microwave dish. Add 1-2 tbsp water & warm on stove (medium heat) / in microwave, often stirring carefully, until piping hot throughout (10-15 min).

Vol-au-Vegan has been one of our top-selling dishes for six years – and for good reason. This is comfort food the Flemish way: a creamy sauce with mushrooms, sweet leeks, a touch of spice, and now featuring our upgraded, ultra-tasty no-meatballs. Made from 100% soy, we soak them in broth, squeeze them by hand (not for the faint-hearted!), then roast them with a rich blend of spices and oil. No ultra-processed nonsense, just delicious, protein-rich goodness.

A splash of alcohol gives this dish an extra layer of depth – no worries, it all evaporates during cooking, leaving behind only great flavour. Serve with fries, croquettes, mashed potatoes or a hunk of good bread – whatever suits your mood.

Vol-au-Vegan is ready in minutes and brings a classic Belgian indulgence into the plant-based age. You don’t need to be Flemish to fall in love with this dish!

Ultimate Friday night feast in our home: pair with

  • fresh Belgian fries from "het frietkot"
  • Traditional “koninginnehapje” puff pastry cases.
  • Little “meat”balls:
  • Buy a nice vegan/vegetarian “meatball” at the supermarket (or have a go at making your own!)
  • Flexitarians could add real little meatballs of course. In that case, boil them in stock for a few minutes before stirring them to your hot vol-au-not-so-vegan.
  • A big spoonful of old school Belgian mayonnaise (or try a vegan alternative!)
  • A lovely crisp green salad
  • Some parsley and/or chives to garnish
